I realize the First Time Home Buyers Program for the 2009, $8,000 real estate tax credit has been discussed and blogged about, by just about everyone in the real estate industry, and then some. But since there still seems to be a lot of confusion about it, mostly because the government has continually changed the program, I decided to throw my hat into the proverbial ring on this subject.
So let's keep this simple. Rather than speculate and add my 2 cents about this real estate program, I'm just going to provide a link to the information provided by the Daytona Beach REALTOR® Association. (below)
The official name for the First Time Home Buyers $8,000 tax credit for 2009 is "The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009". <<< Just follow this link to read the details about this program. Just don't be surprised if the government changes it again!

Lisa,
Thank you for adding your two cents worth. It is good to have a good open discussion.
Hi Lisa,
You're absolute correct, there has been a lot of confusion and controversery in the tax credit. Personally I see it as a positive, we've certainly seen a large number of buyers get off the fence and enter the market place.
